Dare to Dream Labradoodles

Australian Labradoodles in Ontario - The Perfect Family Companion

I grew up on a small farm with my parents, two brothers, and one sister. My brother Christopher and I always had the strongest love for the animals. We would always be out in the barn with our rabbits, ducks, chickens, pigeons, goats, and cows. My brother and I had everything. And then my mom had her dogs. We had golden retrievers as far back as I can remember. They are the sweetest family dogs anyone could ever ask for. Our dogs were never kennel dogs, and were always a big part of our family. My mom had to choose a breed that would do well in a family because she had 4 small children of her own, and was always watching everyone else's kids as well!

After joining my mother in the breeding aspects, I developed a love for genetics. I was fascinated with researching bloodlines, bone structure, temperament, and soundness. Even though my mom loved breeding purebred golden retrievers, there was always that part of her that wanted no hair, and believe me, that is not accomplished with the golden retriever! Thus, the goldendoodles were born in our house. It was at this time that I began researching the Australian Labradoodle. In 2001, I was introduced to this beautiful breed. It took a few years to finally have my own! In that time, I completed high school, and entered university, where I studied animal genetics and reproduction. In the summer of 2008, I graduated from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor's degree in Science. In June of 2009, I married my best friend Jake. The dogs became his passion as well, and together we look after our growing group of pets! The joke is that every few years I get itchy to go back to school, so I did...and in the summer of 2011, I graduated from the University of Western with my bachelors in Education...and 2 days later, we had our first baby - a little boy named Tristan!

My husband Jake and I now live outside of Caledonia, Ontario on almost 4 acres of country property. Our dogs absolutely love the open space...as do our boys! We made the big move from Guelph to Caledonia in December of 2012. Five days later, our second baby arrived - another little boy named Nicholas!

We welcomed our third son Brayden on November 3rd, 2014, and completed our family on October 18th, 2016 with our fourth little boy - Levi.

We have the best socialization team around with 4 boys always helping us with the puppies!
